Over 120 Foster family members gathered at Carnegie Music Hall to see Jeff Kinney, author and illustrator of the Diary of A Wimpy Kid books. There were crafts, snacks, book sales and book signings. It was a whole day of celebrating reading and my heart was bursting! I couldn't believe the families that stuck around to have their books signed because their kids HAD to collect signed books!Thanks, Mr. Kinney, for helping to build readers--especially out of the reluctant ones!
